Shining İstanbul is a department store in Beşiktaş. In the mid-1900s, a woman, named Meryem Yılmaz, wanted to open a shop where people could buy their clothes, food and other needs. The shop was very popular at that time and gave the name "shining" to the own shop, which means bright.
It opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m. There are sections such as clothing, food and household items in the store. An average of 20.000 customers come in per day. January and February are the busiest months.
